Orinda Police Bust Two Suspected of Burglarizing Cars at Orinda BART

Orinda police apprehend suspects, hand them over to BART police.

The issue of car break-ins at BART lots has come up again after Orinda police apprehended two burglary suspects at the west parking lot on March 5.

Orinda police detained the pair and turned them over to BART police.

One was identified as Pascual Ramos, 19, who gave his address as the 1600 block of 34th Street in Oakland. The second man did not give police his name, according to an Orinda police report, which described him as a 20–year-old man wearing blue jeans, a white sweatshirt, a white baseball cap and carrying a pink backpack.

BART police monitor activities at the station and mount regular patrols watching out for car burglaries, . The Orinda BART station is served by 1,406 parking spaces.

Report suspicious activity to BART police by calling 877 679-7000 or dialing 911 on yellow emergency telephones in BART parking lots.
