Acalanes High School golfer Elizabeth Schultz is headed to the state championships.
The Acalanes senior finished second Monday in the Northern California high school girls golf competition.
Schultz shot a 74 on the 18-hole course at the Spring Creek Golf Course in the Central Valley town of Ripon.
The top three teams and the top nine individuals not associated with a qualifying team moved on to the California high school championship on Nov. 20 in Carmel.
Schultz was competing as an individual in the Northern California tournament.
The top three teams were St. Francis High of Mountain View, Palo Alto High and Amador Valley High in Pleasanton.
