MOFD Chief Randall Bradley Calls It Quits

He has accepted the chief's job in Modesto

Moraga-Orinda Fire District Chief Randall Bradley has accepted job as chief of the Modesto fire department, and will leave his MOFD post on July 15.

The 51-year-old Bradley lives in Manteca, and told the Contra Costa Times that his commute will be cut from 3 hours to 15 minutes.

Bradley has been MOFD chief since 2009. During his tenure, he developed a 15-year long-range financial plan, and was a major proponent of a joint purchase of land for a new Lafayette fire station in conjunction with Contra Costa County. The county Board of Supervisors squashed the idea, and the MOFD is now pursuing the land purchase with the city of Lafayette.
