Governor Jerry Brown has served as California's governor twice over a span of 38 years, surpassing former Governor and Chief Justice Earl Warren to become Califrnia's longest-serving governor. He also served as mayor of Oakland (1999-2007) and California attorney general (2007-2011) and ran for president in 1976, 1980 and 1992.
