Moraga Triathlon: Volunteers Still Needed; Traffic Alert; Slots Open for Youth 8 to 19

The big day is Saturday, April 26!

The Moraga Triathlon is Saturday -- April 26 -- and local roads will be affected from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. with bicyclists and runners in Moraga and Canyon

The Moraga Police Department advises everyone to drive with patience and caution.

Online registration is still available through April 23 -- according to the web site -- for student and youth ages 8 to 19. Click here for info.

And volunteers are STILL NEEDED! Interested, email: tri@moraga.ca.us.

No roads will be closed for this event, but traffic will be controlled by both police personnel and trained CERT volunteers.

Drivers will be directed to slow and, in some cases, stop as participants pass.

Moraga Road, Canyon Road, Pinehurst, and Camino Pablo will be used by bicyclists and Campolindo area streets will be used by runners.

Police recommend altering schedules, if possible, and avoid driving in these areas during the morning hours.

The popular Triathlon is something the Town of Moraga is proud to host, and wants to insure a SAFE and successful event again this year.

If you have any questions or would like to participate, please see the Town of Moraga website or call the Parks and Recreation Department.

According to race organizers, due to the construction of the Campolindo campus the 5-7 year old division was unfortunately cancelled. Refunds will be processed as soon as possible.
