I am a landscape, nature and travel photographer. I am basically self taught but honed my skills by taking workshops from some of the greats, starting with Ansel Adams in 1978. I entered the digital world in 2007 and found that it enables me to go beyond the limitations of film. I tend to use these tools to leverage my creative vision while still embracing realism.

My body of work reflects my all-consuming passion to capture diverse patterns and imagery, both locally and worldwide. For me, it is not just about finding a perfect location or composition, but finding harmony and balance between elements of color, lines, texture and shapes that are both pleasing to me and the viewer. Photography for me is a means of self-expression as well as an outlet from the stresses of everyday life.

I’ve been a Moraga Art Gallery member since 2003. My exhibit venues cover Danville, Lamorinda, Oakland and San Francisco. My photography has graced CD album covers, calendars and the walls of collectors, both locally and internationally. My portfolio includes images from India, Europe, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and, more recently, Myanmar (Burma), Laos, and Vietnam. When I’m not globetrotting, I wander the hills of the East Bay, Lamorinda and Mount Diablo.
