The scouts of Lafayette Troop 204 gather at a genuine log cabin set behind Lafayette Elementary School on School…More Street in Lafayette. Chartered in 1932, Troop 204 is the oldest established troop in Lafayette, and it also has a large number of its contingent promoted to the Eagle rank each year. More than 200 have been promoted since the Troop was chartered, and its members are engaged in a number of significant community projects in line with its "Do Good" motto and philosophy.
The "log cabin" Troop headquarters was built in September of 1948. A small museum of artifacts is maintained there, and it serves as a base for troop meetings and other activities.
