The Orinda Chamber of Commerce is located at 26 Orinda Way, adjacent to the Orinda Historical Society and the new Orinda Library. The Chamber shares offices with <i>The Orinda News</i> and the Orinda Association. Chartered as a non-profit corporation in 1952, the chamber is managed by a board of directors which meets monthly to set policy and organize programs intended to promote commerce and good business practices in the city. The chamber boasts a membership of more than 200 business professionals representing nearly every facet of business in the city, from financial services to the neighborhood pharmacy. It hosts a steady lineup of mixers and social events tailored to owners of businesses both large and small, instilling a sense of fellowship and facilitating the free exchange of ideas within the business community.
