Contra Costa Jewish Day School

<p>Contra Costa Jewish Day School is a private school in Lafayette, California. Coed and Jewish-affiliated, it serves 150 students in grades K-8.  Founded in 2001, CCJDS provides a full-day elementary school curriculum. The school recently moved into a new building on the campus of Temple Isaiah on the town's north side. The school features large classrooms, a low student-to-teacher ratio, and an art studio and science lab.</p> <p>The core curriculum includes language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, art, physical education, music, drama, Hebrew language and Judaic studies. The school uses the athletic fields of nearby Bentley School in Orinda for its physical education programs. A half-day Bridge Kindergarten located in Walnut Creek at Bnai Shalom is also available to serve children who are either too young for the cut-off date or need additional time to mature.</p>
