The Weekender: Boy Scouts Tree Lot, Chamber Music Concert, Christmas Tree Lighting

Here are some of the events happening in Lamorinda this weekend

As you plan your Thanksgiving holiday weekend, here are some of the event happening from Friday to Sunday in Lamorinda.

On Friday afternoon, the Lafayette Boy Scout Troop 224 will open its annual Christmas tree lot.

The trees will be for sale beginning at noon at the scout's lot at 3903 Mt. Diablo Blvd. in Lafayette.

Starting Saturday, the lot will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily until they sell out.

On Sunday afternoon, chamber musicians from St. Mary's College will present a classical concert.

The performances from duos, trios and quartets begins at 4 p.m. in the college chapel, 1928 St. Mary's Road in Moraga.

On Sunday evening, a Christmas tree lighting will be held at a Moraga church.

The tree lighting along with holiday carols and children's activities begins at 6 p.m. at Refuge Community Church, 155 Moraga Road.

On Sunday evening, a film on hunger in America will be shown in Lafayette.

The screening of "A Place At The Table" will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1035 Carol Lane.
