Orinda Man Appointed Chairman of the Heart Association "Heart of Gold" Ball
Dan Rosenthal plans to bring some new ideas to the 2014 event, scheduled for May of next year.
Orinda resident Dan Rosenthal has been appointed 2014 Chairman of the East Bay Heart of Gold Ball. The Western Region CEO for United Healthcare was asked by 2013 Heart of Gold Ball Chairman, James D. White, CEO of Jamba Juice Company, to succeed him.
“I am confident Dan will take the American Heart Association East Bay Heart of Gold Ball to the next level,” said Jeffrey Klingman, M.D., president of the East Bay American Heart Association Board of Directors. “He shows strategic vision and direction and we are certain that new corporate sponsors will come on board to support the mission of building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.”
In his new role, Rosenthal plans bring innovative ideas to the 2014 event and exceed the campaign’s $1 million fund-raising goal.

The Heart of Gold Ball will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Wente Vineyards in Livermore.
