Deck-the-Halls Help from Cub Entrepreneurs

Spotted in front of Pastime Ace Hardware in El Cerrito Saturday were two Cub Scouts who manned, or boyed, a sidewalk table selling holiday wreaths to raise funds for pack activities.

Two Cub Scouts from Pack 82 of Kensington got some sales and fundraising experience under their belts Saturday at a table in front of Pastime Ace Hardware in El Cerrito. Christopher Chan and Ben Veitch, both 8, were selling wreaths – $20 for the 22-inch size and $30 for the 28-inch version – in their annual fundraiser for camping, badges, awards and other things that cost the pack money.

Way to go Ben, Chistopher and pack 82. I was in pack 82 back in the 70's. Glad to know pack 82 is still up and running. Must be all those wreath sales. Keep up the good work. David Wilson

I hope Christopher's pack leader doesn't see him out of uniform like that....
