When Geezers Attack - On-Field Grudges Die Hard

A former Cal coach and NFL quarterback extends an olive branch to a colleague from the Canadian Football League for a decades-old on-field hit -- and has the offering rejected in no uncertain terms.

Patchers have been forwarding this little vid-tidbit to me all morning as former National Football League quarterback Joe Kapp and Canadian Football League legend Angelo Mosca came to blows during what was meant to be a sedate and retrospective CFL Alumni Legends luncheon in Vancouver Nov. 25.

Kapp, the scrappy former B.C. Lions' and Minnesota Vikings quarterback, actor and Cal head coach, approached Mosca, former Hamilton Tiger-Cats' defensive tackle and professional wrestler, with a floral bouquet that went south in a hurry.

Apparently memories are long in Canada.
