The San Francisco Giants stormed into 2012 World Series on Monday night, scorching the St. Louis Cardinals 9-0 behind the undaunted pitching of Matt Cain and the stirring hitting performance by Marco Scutaro, which earned Most Valuable Player honors for the National League Championship Series.
But before the champagne even has a chance to dry in the Giants' locker room, the 2012 World Series kicks off as the Giants host the Detroit Tigers Wednesday at 5:07 p.m. at AT&T Park.
For those of you hoping to score some tickets, good luck. As the Giants note on their ticket website, "the ticket prices are based on current market value and will fluctuate based on factors affecting supply and demand." And given the joyful screams, car horns and fireworks in San Francisco Monday night, demand will be incredibly high.
