Miramonte High Girl's Golf Team Wins NCS Championship

The Matadors defeated eight other squads to win the Division II title

The girls golf team from Miramonte High School won the North Coast Section Division II championship on Monday.

The Matadors tallied the lowest score of 360 on the 18-hole course at Beau Pro in McKinleyville. They finished 19 strokes better than second place Justin-Siena High School.

Arielle Caronna led Miramonte with a low score of 82, good enough for third place in the individual competition.

The team will play in the Northern California championships on Nov. 4 in Ripon in the Central Valley.
