High School Water Polo Playoffs: Campolindo Wins Both Boys, Girls Titles

The Cougars defeated Miramonte High on Saturday in the girls and boys divisions

Campolindo High defeated Miramonte High twice on Saturday to win both the boys and the girls water polo titles at the North Coast Section playoffs.

In the boys' Division I championship game, second ranked Campolindo edged top seeded Miramonte, 11-10.

This was Campolindo's first North Coast Section title in school history. Miramonte has played in the past nine championship games, winning seven of them.

Campolindo ends the season with a 22-6 record while Miramonte finishes 19-9.

In the girls Division II championship game, top seeded Campolindo swamped second ranked Miramonte, 19-6.

Seniors Annika Jensen and Natalie Seidemann scored 13 goals between them. It was the fourth time this season the Cougars have defeated Miramonte.

Campolindo finishes 24-3 on the season while Miramonte ends at 20-7.
