High School Water Polo: Lamorinda Teams All Advance To The Semifinals

Campolindo and Acalanes will face off in a girls Division II battle on Wednesday

All the Lamorinda high school teams in action won their quarterfinal matches on Saturday in the North Coast Section water polo playoffs.

In the boys Division I tournament, top ranked Miramonte High defeated eighth-seeded Monte Vista High, 21-12.

Miramonte now plays fourth-seeded Las Lomas High in the semifinals at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Matadors' home pool.

Miramonte is now 18-8 this season while Las Lomas is 16-9.

Second-seeded Campolindo High knocked off seventh-seeded Amador Valley High, 16-12.

The Cougars now play against sixth-seeded San Ramon Valley High in the semifinals at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Campolindo pool.

Campolindo is 20-6 this season while San Ramon Valley is 17-9.

In the girls' Division II playoffs, top-ranked Campolindo High swamped eighth-seeded Carondelet High, 17-2.

The Cougars will now play fourth-seeded Acalanes High in the semifinals at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at Campolindo's pool.

The Dons defeated fifth-ranked Marin Catholic High, 11-4.

Campolindo is 22-3 on the season while Acalanes is 15-11.

Second-ranked Miramonte High dunked seventh-ranked Piedmont High, 15-6.

The Matadors now face third-seeded Sir Frances Drake High in the semifinals at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday at Miramonte's pool.

Miramonte is 19-6 this season while Sir Frances Drake is 20-6.
