High School Football Playoffs: Miramonte Romps Past Northgate High

The Matadors move to the semifinals after beating the Broncos in a high-scoring contest

In a game where 114 points were scored, Miramonte High outlasted Northgate High to advance to the semifinals of the North Coast Section Division II football playoffs.

The third seeded Matadors rang up 66 points on their way to a 66-48 victory over sixth ranked Northgate.

The Broncos finished their season with a 9-3 record.

Miramonte is now 10-2 and will face second seeded Clayton Valley Charter High in the semifinals. The Eagles are 11-1 on the season.

That game begins at 7 p.m. Friday at Clayton Valley Charter's stadium.
