Girls Running Group To Prep For Orinda Race

LOLA running and nutrition club is taking registration, pointing toward April 28 race at Miramonte High School.

The LOLA running and nutrition club for 8- to 12-year-old girls has a goal and is getting ready to get out on the trails and roads, training for the JF Kapnek Foundation 5-kilometer run at Miramonte High School, Orinda, on Sunday, April 28.

The race is a fundraiser for the J.F. Kapnek Foundation, which supports a large pediatric HIV/AIDS transmission prevention program in Zimbabwe, Africa.

LOLA, has started registration. Group runs on the Lafayette-Moraga regional trail are due to start the week of Feb. 25, said organizer Amy Berryhill of Orinda.
