Campolindo Faces Clayton Valley In NCS Baseball Championship

If Ma Nature hadn't been hurling some thunderbolts of her own we'd have a champion by now, but Campolindo and Clayton Valley will have to wait until tonight to figure out who's on top in NCS play.

If it wasn't for a rare June shower this weekend a North Coast Section Division II baseball champion would have already been crowned.

Campolindo was going to play for the title against Clayton Valley at UC Berkeley's Evans Diamond Saturday, but rain forced the game to be rescheduled and held in Clayton Valley Monday at 5 p.m.

Clayton Valley (22-3-1), seeded-second in the 16-team tournament, has defeated No. 15 Montgomery (2-1), No. 7 Rancho Cotate (3-1) and No. 11 Cardinal Newman (1-0) to reach the final.
