Campolindo, Acalanes Play For NCS Baseball, Softball Titles

Acalanes High's baseball team as well as Campolindo High's baseball and softball squads will play for North Coast Section championships this weekend.

The Acalanes baseball team squares off against Analy High of Sebastopol on Saturday for the Division III title. The game begins at 1 p.m. at St. Mary's College in Moraga.

Acalanes, the number one seed in the tournament, is 19-7 this season. They reached the final by defeating fourth-seeded Sonoma Valley High on Wednesday.

Analy High, the number three seed, is 23-5 this season. They reached the final by defeating second-seeded Sir Frances Drake High on Wednesday.

Acalanes defeated Analy, 3-1, in a regular season game in late April. The Dons have captured the Division II championship the past two seasons.

Campolindo High's baseball team will take on Casa Grande High of Petaluma for the Division II title. The game begins at 1 p.m. Saturday at Santa Rosa Junior College.

Campolindo, the number two seed, is 20-6-1 this season. They reached the final by defeating number three seed Clayton Valley High on Wednesday.

Top-seeded Casa Grande High is 27-2 this season. They reached the final by defeating fifth-seeded College Park High, 12-10, in 13 innings on Wednesday.

Casa Grande beat Campolindo, 9-3, in a regular season game in March.

In softball, Campolindo High will battle Terra Linda High of San Rafael on Saturday for the Division III title. The game begins at 7 p.m. at San Marin High.

Campolindo, the number seven seed, is 14-9 this season. They reached the final by defeating third-seeded Eureka High on Tuesday.

Terra Linda, the number one seed, is 23-4 this season. They reached the championship game by beating fifth-seeded Acalanes High on Tuesday.
