Who's Your Favorite Teacher? Eukel Trust Wants Your Nomination
A local trust is looking for Contra Costa County teachers who have inspired, demonstrated excellence as educators.
If you were lucky, you had a teacher who was quietly inspiring, pushed you beyond your abilities and made you reach for the brass ring of knowledge.
The Warren W. Eukel Trust is looking for Lamorinda teachers who made you go that extra mile and left you wanting more. For the last 19 years the trust has sought out nominations for the best teacher in Contra Costa County, seeking input from their colleagues, school officials, students and their parents and then picking one teacher after review by a selection committee.
Honorees are eligible for a $10,000 grant to be used in any way they wish.

Eukel was a well-known Contra Costa County resident who worked for more than three decades to help teachers positively influence students. The trust was created in his memory in 1992.
