In a visit to The Crucible industrial art facility in West Oakland, students got to hammer like a blacksmith, try on animal hide and play with clay in a field trip. Orinda Intermediate teacher Bobby Glasser, a member of the nonprofit group, brought his students to The Crucible. A Q&A with Glasser ran on The Crucible's website.
