Sssshhh! Lafayette City and School Officials Meet To Discuss Library Antics and Parking

The City of Lafayette and School District Governing Board will convene June 23 in a special meeting geared toward solving two recurring problems in town.

Lafayette city officials and the School District Governing Board have called for a special meeting to address budget issues, traffic calming around area schools and the behavior of students at the town library.

The joint special meeting will be held June 23 at 6 p.m. in the Lafayette Elementary School library, 950 Moraga Rd. in Lafayette.

City and school officials will discuss measures to ease traffic congestion during pickup and dropoff hours, traffic calming measures and strategies to "improve student behavior" at the library.
