New District Associate Superintendent for Local High Schools

Kevin French, described as a "highly accomplished administrator" by the district, joins the Acalanes Union High School District.

The Acalanes Union High School District held a special meeting Tuesday morning and hired Kevin French as the new associate superintendent for the district. The decision comes on the heels of the hiring of a new superintendent, John Nickerson.

French, who will start with the district in May, comes from the Davis Joint Unified District, where he was a deputy superintendent, according to the district's announcement. French is a credentialed special education teacher as well as credentialed in social science and physical education.

French has taught in both middle and high schools. He also served as principal of Rodriguez High School, which is in the Fairfield-Suisin Unified School District. In that role, he helped develop Professional Learning Communities amongst staff and led the high school to being recognized as a State Distinguished School, the district announcement states.
