Moragans Turn Out For Ribbon Cutting at Refurbished Camino Pablo School Sports Field

Local notables and important area kids turned out Thursday to officially open the recently refurbished sports fields at Camino Pablo School. Where'd those gigantic scissors come from?

Patch doesn't like standard ribbon cutting photos but this one, taken by Patcher Evan Mew during a ribbon-cutting Thursday at Camino Pablo School, had a certain charm to it we liked.

Maybe it's Karen Mendonca's "good Republican coat," Council Member Mike Metcalf's jaunty racing hat or the looks on the kid's faces but whatever it was, Evan caught it in a photo.

City Council Member Ken Chew stands just behind Mendonca and that's Dennis Kelleher on the "business end" of the scissors.

The heavily-used field was reopened Thursday after a summer spent restoring it to playable condition. The field was built using a grant from Measure WW.
