Moraga School District to Restore Programs

The Moraga School District will hold a special board meeting at 5:30 p.m., August 8 in the Joaquin Moraga Intermediate School Auditorium. The purpose of the meeting is to accept donations from the Parent Teacher Associations from all four schools as well as a gift from the Moraga Education Foundation.

The board will also conduct a 45-day review of the 2011-12 budget act that finally passed in Sacramento.

District watchers anticipate the reinstatement of some programs to the elementary and middle schools cut as part of district requirements to create a viable budget by June 30 – before the state funding picture clarified.
