Moraga School District Discusses Pumpkins and Parcel Taxes

Tuesday night the governing board reviews the usual business, plus some heartwarming donations.

The Moraga School district has its regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday night. The governing board meets at 7:30 in the Joaquin Moraga Intermediate School auditorium.

The board will accept and recognize a few special donations, including a Halloween pumpkin for Camino Pablo’s annual contest as well as donations from students at Los Perales who sold cookies to donate funds to the district.

Continued information about pursuing a parcel tax is also on the agenda, which the board is evaluating for a potential spring campaign.

In addition, the board will get an update on the district’s goals. The board will also get a report on the progress of the newly-formed intensive learning center for special needs students at the middle school.

The board also plans to review its policy for interdistrict transfers and set a date to evaluate the superintendent.
