Workshop Facilitators:

Eduardo Salaz, B.A. has over 30 years of experience in the field of strategic planning, organizational development, change management, diversity and inclusion and human resources. Eduardo is currently Chief Human Resources Officer and HR Director for Saint Mary’s College of California. Prior to that Eduardo was a Principal Consultant with Olin Consulting. The Olin (Oh..leen) is the Aztec and Nahua indigenous symbol for movement. The Aztec / Nahua people believed that leadership development begins with the concept of self-discovery. As a principle consultant, Eduardo specialized in helping individuals and teams reach their full potential.
In his previous role as Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer / HR Director for Intuit, he was the chief architect in building an end-to-end diversity and inclusion program. Eduardo’s has held human resource leadership positions at: Brocade Communications Systems, Silicon Graphics, Apple Computer, Pacific Gas and Electric and the General Electric Company.

Eduardo is Past President of the National Hispanic Employee Association (NHEA), Past Executive Board President of the Hispanic Employees Association of PG&E, and former member of the Board of Trustees for the National Hispanic University.

Tammy Appling-Cabading, M.A. is a faculty member and Manager of Marketing & Admission in the Graduate Leadership Program at Saint Mary's College. Her final project explored the question of how to value and respect diversity, a question she brings forward in her interaction with everyone she meets, and as a Campus of Difference facilitator at the College.

Marguerite Welch, Ph.D. (cand.) brings over 20 years of Organization Development and Human Resources experience to her teaching at Saint Mary's College, where she is the faculty chair of the Graduate Leadership Program. Her academic focus is on developing learning community, building cross-cultural capacity, and sustainable change in organizations.
