SACTO JOURNALIST KATY GRIMES at Lamorinda Republican Women's Club lunch meeting October 20

Investigative journalist Katy Grimes of the Pacific Research Institute's www.calwatchdog.com news website is the featured speaker at the Wednesday, October 20th luncheon meeting of the Lamorinda Republican Women's club.  Grimes' topic is "Neophytes Rising:  The Year of the Republican Woman."   Additionally, Republican District Attorney candidate Mark Peterson will be on hand to introduce himself to club members and answer questions.  This program is open to the public with advance reservations available through Friday, October 15th by calling 925-459-6768; program details are available at the club's website at lamorindarepublicanwomen.org.

News reporter Katy Grimes is a longtime political analyst, writer, and journalist. Grimes has written columns for the Sacramento Union, Washington Examiner, San Francisco Examiner and Sacramento Bee.  She has been an influential political blogger since 2004 and currently blogs at Townhall.com and the Sacramento Citizen.

Grimes considers working with Pacific Research Institute's (PRI) new CalWatchdog project a great opportunity to be a pioneer in the new web-based nonprofit model of journalism.  Her focus is on reporting and writing about Sacramento and other state political news that is routinely overlooked.
