Growing Light Montessori of Moraga to Host Wellness Event, Saturday, Sept. 25th

Moraga, CA:  Growing Light Montessori School of Moraga in conjunction with Food4Thought will be hosting a Wellness Event on Saturday, September 25th, from 10 am-3pm, at the Growing Light Montessori campus in the Moraga Shopping Center. The Wellness Event is the brainchild of local Lamorinda mother and event planner, Jennifer Bielawski, whose own experience with her children's food intolerance lead to a new understanding of how diet can be used to treat key health issues.    Parents can come and hear experts speak on a variety of conditions, including allergies, asthma, ADD/ADHD, autism, auto-immunity and other failure-to-thrive issues that may be affecting their children's lives.  Guest speakers include several local Pediatricians, Doctors of Naturpathy, Nutritionists, and experts in Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine and Exercise Science, who have helped the Bielawski family over the last several years.   Bielawski hopes the event will help parents demystify their child's health issues and take the legwork out of getting answers that might include eliminating gluten and/or sugar, detoxing the body, organic/non-organic food choices, or seeking other dietary approaches and/or alternative treatments, which may preclude the need for prescription medications that can lead to another whole host of other health issues, including serious side effects. 
 Specific guest speakers can be viewed online at www.food4thoughtca.com.   Tickets will sell for $25 per person and space is limited, so parents are encouraged to register in advance online at the same address.  An organic food item is also requested at the door to be donated to the Contra Costa Food Bank.   Several other exhibitors will also be on hand with relevant health and wellness information for attending parents.
