On Sunday, November 14th, at 1:00 pm, Sustainable Lafayette, Contra Costa Master Gardeners and the Lafayette Library present the first in a series of two-hour workshops on sustainable landscaping for home gardeners.
The November 14th workshop, "Building Healthy Soil and Sending Less to the Landfill," will focus specifically on the impact of garden waste on landfills, and the benefits of keeping it at home and turning into "garden gold." The workshop presenters are Lorraine Frey and Linda Gorman. Both are trained graduates of the University of California Master Gardener program, with special expertise in sustainable landscaping practices in Contra Costa County.
