American Association of University Women ~ AAUW College Scholarships and Educational Projects for Lamorinda Girls

AAUW-OML, the Lamorinda Branch, awards an annual College Scholarship to one outstanding senior girl from each of the big three Lamorinda public high schools:

Miramonte - Campolindo - Acalanes

AAUW-OML provides an annual Award of Excellence to one St. Mary's College Junior or Senior woman who wishes to continue her education. 

Applicants for future awards should be good students, good communicators, and active participants in school and community service activities.  

Applications for 2012 scholarships will be available in Fall 2011 in career counselors' offices and on our website:  www.aauwoml.org

2011 College Scholarship Awards and 7th grade Tech Trek Science & Math Camp Scholarship Awards were announced and winners honored at AAUW-OML's evening celebration on April 12, in Moraga.

AAUW-OML provides ongoing educational projects for Lamorinda girls:   

• SISTER-to-SISTER SUMMIT  ~  A Dynamic Day for ALL Middle School Girls with Fun Activities, Interesting Presenters & Group Discussions, Respect Rally, Great Food & Gifts.  Registration for next year will open in January 2012.
• TECH TREK Science & Math Camp Scholarships ~ a week at AAUW Tech Trek Camp on a California college campus, for Lamorinda 7th Grade Girls interested in science, math and technology.  Candidates for this scholarship camp must be nominated by their 7th grade math or science teacher, complete the application process, and be interviewed by American Association of University Women.
• COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDS of EXCELLENCE for Lamorinda High School Seniors and St. Mary's College Students.  Look for 2012 applications in Fall 2011, on our website and in career counselors' offices.
