Cougars, Mats Remain Undefeated - Dons Lose a Heartbreaker
Two of our three high school teams were on the road Friday night and came back with decisive wins. Acalanes met a gritty team of Greyhounds from Healdsburg and lost a home game by a point.
Both Miramonte and Campolindo took their brand of football on the road Friday and both managed to come back with another check in the "win" column.
Campolindo surged against St. Patrick/St. Vincent and came out ahead 55 to 20 while the Mats got the best of Liberty to chalk up at 26 to 17 win.
In Lafayette, the Dons of Acalanes engaged in a defensive struggle with the Healdsburg Greyhounds, scored early and kept that lead until late in the game when Healdsburg took it into the end zone for six and again for the two-point conversion to go ahead 8 to 7 with two minutes left in the game.
