2012 A Perfect Season for Miramonte Women's Basketball?

It's not easy to be perfect all the time, but the Lady Matadors of Miramonte are close to proving they are just that.

The Miramonte Women's Basketball team is ranked No. 71 in the country and No. 16 in the state by MaxPreps.com. . The Mats will play a North Coast Section Division III playoff game with San Marin on Wednesday, with the winner facing either cross-Lamorinda rivals Acalanes or the favored Bishop O'Dowd.

For Sopak and his team, the season has been broken down into one-game chunks, a "Forget what happened yesterday" in favor of a "Let's concentrate on who we have in front of us" mantra.

Obviously, the approach works for the Mats. Game time is 7 p.m. Wednesday on their home floor.
