What Are The Most Expensive Homes for Sale in Lamorinda?

Check out these large homes and see what they're selling for.

If you're waiting for your home to regain some of its lost value, you might not have to wait long.

Home prices are on the rise and, according to at least one report, are expected to increase 3.3 percent a year through 2017.

Part of the reason is the lack of inventory, causing multiple bids on houses. Another reason is low interest rates. Another is an improvement in consumer credit, which encourages banks to loan more money.

For fun, we thought we'd look for the most expensive home on the market in Lamorinda that we could find.

What we came up with were these homes.

In Lafayette, there is a five-bedroom, 7.5-bathroom house at 3796 Happy Valley Road that's listed at $7.7 million. It's was built in 1995 and has 9,000 square feet.

In Moraga, there is a four-bedroom, three-bathroom house at 8 Kimberly Drive that's selling for $1.65 million. It has 3,040 square feet.

In Orinda, there is a six-bedroom, 6.5-bathroom house at 10 Sleepy Hollow Lane that's listed at $4.99 million. It's price has recently been reduced by almost $1 million. The house has 7,430 square feet.
