The Least Expensive Homes For Sale In Lamorinda

Home prices continue to surge.

The S&P/Case Shiller composite index on Tuesday showed that home prices in 20 metropolitan areas across the country rose 1.1 percent in March.

Those median prices were 10.9 percent higher than March 2012, the largest one-year home price increase since April 2006.

As a service to our readers, we thought we'd check our communities and see if there are still some relatively inexpensive homes on the market.

In Lafayette, we found this one. It's a two-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 3234 Camino Diablo.

The home, built in 1955, is 1,236 square feet on less than four-tenths of an acre. It's listed at $549,000.

In Moraga, there's this three-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 91 Shuey Drive.

The home, built in 1964, is 1,723 square feet on a third of an acre. It's listed at $799,000.

In Orinda, there's this three-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 6 Las Vegas Court.

The home, built in 1954, is 1,395 square feet on four-tenth of an acre. Some extensive repairs may be needed. It's listed at $599,000.
