Questions From the Public: Why Haven't Moraga's Town Council Minutes Been Updated?

A Lafayette resident asks why it takes so long for the Town of Moraga to update its Town Council meeting minutes.

Question: As of 4/18/2012, the approved minutes for the Moraga Town Council meetings have not been updated on the Moraga Town website since the October 19, 2011 meeting. This is an awfully long time to not have approved minutes available via the web. My last inquiry from the town indicated that minutes have not been approved.

The Town Council minutes actually serve as the official record of the Town Council activities and to have such a huge delay in their availability may pose problems for both the public and town officials should the official record need to be challenged or changed.
