Orinda City Councilman Tapped For CSU Board of Trustees

Steven Glazer, who served as a senior political advisor and campaign manager for Gov. Jerry Brown's 2010 campaign, has been appointed to the California State University Board of Trustees.

Orinda Vice Mayor Steven Glazer has been appointed to the California State University Board of Trustees, the governor's office announced today.

Glazer, 53, is also president of Glazer & Associates, a strategic and communications consulting firm he helped found, and a board member of the Central Contra Costa Solid Waste Authority. He was elected to the City Council in 2004 and again in 2008.

Glazer also served as a senior political advisor and campaign manager for Gov. Jerry Brown's 2010 campaign. He has worked for then-Assemblyman Gray Davis and then-state  Senate President Pro Tem David Roberti.

He worked with the CSU Board of Trustees from 1977 to 1981 as an elected leader and staff member of the California State Student Association. Glazer, a Democrat, will receive $100 per diem for serving on the board of trustees if he is confirmed by the state Senate.
