Q: Do you have a particular platform or issue of interest this election year?

Orr: My priority will be to foster greater input from residents about the issues facing Orinda. It is of critical importance that the community be involved in the decision-making process of local government. I will work to create more opportunities for open and active dialogue within the community, and I will help ensure that the council's decisions are balanced, sensible and transparent.

Q: If elected, what are your plans for Orinda?

Orr: As a member of the Orinda City Council, I will welcome the challenge of protecting our best assets while encouraging new opportunities for smart growth and sustainable development in our town.

Q: Where do you stand on the issues of a proposed ban on leaf blowers in Orinda?

Orr: I do not support an outright ban on the use of leaf blowers in Orinda. It is not clear that the majority of residents support such a measure at this time.
