Give Some At Moraga's Station 41 - Blood Drive Saturday

Requests for blood donations in this country have become almost cliche - but the need remains stronger than ever. Someday, you or someone you know or love may require a blood transfusion. Give some now.

The Moraga-Orinda Fire District is partnering with the American Red Cross in a blood drive during the MOFD Open House, on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, from 10 a.m. -2 p.m., at Station 41 – 1280 Moraga Way.

MOFD is requesting your support and participation in this drive.

Local firefighters and the Red Cross remind us that someone, somewhere in America, requires a blood transfusion every two seconds in hospitals and emergency rooms across the land. Those with good health can share it through donating blood – to enable a premature baby to live, a burn victim to recover, a cancer patient to be treated, an accident victim to survive the night and beyond, or a transplant candidate to have a life-giving surgery.

The need is ongoing. MOFD asks you to give full consideration to donating the "gift of life," and thanks you for your interest in this important community effort. To schedule an appointment, please follow the directions in the flier, or contact Grace Santos at 925 258-4525 or via email at gsantos@mofd.org.  Drop-ins are also welcome.
