Condo Project Before Lafayette Council Again

Meeting is at 7 p.m. Monday at the Lafayette library.

The downtown condo project is coming down to the wire with a Lafayette
City Council meeting tonight (Monday)
.

In a four-hour meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 20, the council heard from scores of people about the proposal to build a 71-condominium Town Center project on the vacant lot behind Panda Express on Mount Diablo Boulevard. Many speakers opposed the project for its height and size, suggesting it would interfere with the small-town feel of Lafayette. Others spoke in favor, saying more people living in the area would give the downtown a more vibrant feel.

The council meets at 7 p.m. Monday at the Community Hall in the Lafayette Library and Learning Center, 3491 Mt. Diablo Blvd., Lafayette.
