Update: Moraga Way Water Main Break Fixed
One lane of the Orinda-Moraga thoroughfare was closed for several hours Thursday night
The water main break on Moraga Way has been fixed.
Orinda officials report the pipe was repaired early this morning and both lanes of the Orinda-Moraga thoroughfare are open.
One lane of Moraga Way was closed for several hours on Thursday night as East Bay Municipal Utility District crews worked on the problem.
EBMUD officials reported the water main break on the east side of Moraga Way at Glorietta Boulevard about 4:30 p.m.
They closed the northbound lane of Moraga Way about 5:30 p.m. while the southbound lane stayed open.
The northbound lane was reopened about 8:30 p.m.
EBMUD crews worked overnight to fix the pipe rupture.
