Why did the turkeys cross Moraga Road?
Either to get to the other side or, perhaps, to cause an automotive pileup.
At 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, a Ford Ranger stopped short to let a family of turkeys traverse Moraga Road at Hansen Court. A Nissan Altima then rear-ended the Ranger and was in turn rear-ended by a Mini Cooper, according to a Moraga police report. No injuries were reported. The drivers exchanged insurance information, police reported, and the three vehicles drove off from the scene. And the turkeys presumably got to the other side.
