Moraga police investigate; resident is suspicious of carpet cleaners who came to the residence.

Moraga police are investigating the theft of jewelry valued at $5,800 from a residence in the neighborhood around Moraga Country Club.

The lesson to be learned is to always lock up your small valuables when you have workers in your house. Unfortunately, not everyone is honest; and unless you can catch the thief in the act, you most likely will never see your missing items again.

Even if you catch them in the act~~~are you going to wrestle them for it? Locks are good.
