Twenty-six-year-old woman fell at Rheem and Glorietta boulevards, Orinda, on Wednesday afternoon.

A 26-year-old Orinda woman was reported in critical condition after striking her head in a skateboard fall on Rheem Boulevard, Orinda, Wednesday afternoon.

The woman was coming down the Rheem hill and apparently trying to take a right onto eastbound Glorietta Boulevard when she lost control, a witness said, according to Orinda Police Officer Mike Gray. The skateboarder did not yield at the stop sign of the T intersection, Gray said.

The skateboarder was not wearing a helmet, Gray said. Police received the call at 3:26 p.m. Wednesday. The injured woman was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek.
