Scary Non-Halloween Moment at Joaquin Moraga - But Everything Okay

The morning rush to drop students off for class came to a screeching halt at Joaquin Moraga Friday after a sixth-grader's foot was caught under the wheel of mom's car as she pulled away.

A sixth grader was treated for a minor foot injury Friday after the student's mother rolled a car tire over her child during the morning drop off.

Moraga police and an ambulance were summoned to the school's music building parking lot just as classes were about to start for the day. Witnesses said it was hard to say who was most shaken up -- student or mom -- but everything turned out and the student was sitting up as first responders arrived.

Other parents and JM staff quickly moved in to block traffic after the accident occurred.
