Reward In Nov. 7 Walnut Creek Carjacking

PG&E posts $10,000; the victim abducted from a Shadelands parking lot that evening is a PG&E contract employee.

Pacific Gas and Electric Co. has announced it is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of those responsible for kidnapping a PG&E contract employee as she was leaving work Nov. 7 in Walnut Creek.

The offer was released Tuesday morning in an alert from the Walnut Creek Police Department.

At about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, the 57-year-old woman was abducted from an isolated parking lot in the Shadelands area. As the victim unlocked her vehicle, two suspects ran up, forced her into the vehicle, tied her up and blindfolded her. They then drove her to various locations to an attempt to drain money from her ATM accounts.

The victim was driven to an isolated area in the Oakland hills, where she was released with her hands tied. She freed herself and called 911 and Oakland police responded.

Accompanying this story is an ATM camera photo of one suspect.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call WCPD at (925) 256-3577.
