Walnut Creek police on Tuesday released bank ATM photos of a carjacking suspect who went by the name "Aubrey" in a Nov. 7 carjacking of a woman from Walnut Creek.
The woman was tied up and later released that way in a remote location in the Oakland hills. "The victim has recovered from most of her injuries and is doing well," the WCPD reported in a Tuesday press release. She received some cuts and abrasions that required a few stitches, police said.
Police released three ATM photos of "Aubrey." The second suspect went by "David." "It is important to stress we do not know if these are the suspects' actual names," police stated.
Two men kidnapped a woman from a parking lot at the Business Center at Shadelands at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7 and tried to force her to take money from her bank account. Later they drove her to a remote spot in the Oakland hills and released her, still tied up. The woman freed herself and called police.
The suspects drove a small, dark-colored pickup truck with a loud muffler, possibly a Toyota.
