Police Look for Missing Las Lomas Student

Larissa Huntsman was last seen near Las Lomas High on Friday, Aug. 24. Walnut Creek police believe she left on her own accord and they do not suspect foul play.

Police are asking the public's help in finding a missing 16-year-old last seen leaving Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek Friday, Aug. 24.

"It appears (Larissa) Huntsman left on her own accord and foul play is not suspected at this time," stated a Walnut Creek Police Department alert.

Huntsman, a Las Lomas student, was last seen walking off the Las Lomas campus on the south side of Walnut Creek shortly after 1 p.m. Friday.

"It is unclear if Huntsman left the campus on foot or was picked up in a vehicle," the alert stated. "Huntsman has not been seen since."

Authorities are concerned because Huntsman has a medical condition that requires her to take medication daily. It is believed she is not currently taking her medication, police said.

Huntsman is 5-foot-3, 125 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a blue V-neck, blue jean shorts and blue sneakers.

Las Lomas High Principal Matt Campbell released an email to the school community Wednesday, saying that the school verified that the student was missing and immediately contacted Walnut Creek police. "While the investigation moves forward, the continued safety and security of students and staff remain a top priority," Campbell stated.
